9-year-old child prodigy graduates high school, sets his sights on college

High school graduation is an accomplishment worth honoring. Though occasionally we hear tales of people receiving their diplomas years, even decades later, the majority of people graduate in their late teens.

However, one Pennsylvanian youngster is graduating from high school almost ten years early.

David Balogun, 9, just graduated from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania’s Reach Cyber Charter School after finishing his online education.

Even with their academic degrees, David’s parents have discovered that raising a highly intelligent boy may be challenging.
In the third grade, David started attending the charter school’s online courses.

David told FOX43, “I wanted to do it because I could do it. So why not put those skills to use for the benefit of society?
David’s mother, Ronya Balogun, said of her son, “He’s a 9-year-old with a brain that just has the capacity to understand and comprehend a lot of concepts that’s beyond his years and sometimes beyond my understanding.”

David is a Mensa member in addition to being one of the youngest high school grads.
Although he won’t earn his official diploma until June, he has already started taking college-level courses and intends to major in either software development, engineering, or chemistry.

“I want to study supernovas and black holes as an astrophysicist.”

David devotes all of his time and energy to becoming a black belt in martial arts when he is not pursuing a higher degree.

I’m hoping to use this chance to demonstrate that I’m not the only one who is capable of doing this.

What a fantastic accomplishment! Many people find inspiration in you, David. May your desire to learn never fade.

Please spread the word about this remarkable 9-year-old student’s tale!
