After his horrific snowplow mishap, Jeremy Renner will have a difficult time recovering, but he is still spirited and determined.
The Night Hawk actor provided fans and followers with an update over the weekend, offering them a behind-the-scenes look at his grueling struggle.
The 52-year-old Hollywood celebrity uploaded a picture of the workout gear he uses to help with his recovery and wrote, “Physical therapy Sunday.”
After being involved in a snowplow accident, Renner was taken to the hospital on January 1 with severe injuries. Fans from all over the world expressed their concern and prayers on social media, but his initial state was alarming to say the least.
His family stated in a January 11 update that despite the seriousness of his wounds, he was “crushing all the progress objectives.”
At the time, Kym Renner, the star’s sister, told People magazine: “We are so thrilled with his development.
“Jeremy is a warrior who doesn’t play around, if anyone knows him. He is exceeding every objective for progress. We are extremely optimistic about the journey ahead.
Renner, known for his roles in The Hurt Locker, The Bourne Legacy, American Hustle, and as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, among other movies and television series, was “completely crushed” beneath a snowcat following an accident close to his home in Lake Tahoe on New Year’s Day, according to a terrifying 911 call log that Fox News was able to obtain.
According to reports, the actor was attempting to assist a family member whose vehicle had become stuck in the three feet of snow that had fallen the previous night. Renner appeared to have trouble “breathing” while trapped beneath the snowplow.
The 52-year-old was described as being in a “stable but critical” state after being airlifted to the hospital.
Since that time, the performer has come a long way, dispelling early claims that he would never walk again. The most recent information was released less than a week after Renner was discharged from the hospital.
In the updated post, which also included a photo of Renner receiving physical treatment, the actor expressed gratitude for the support he has received so far.
“Morning workouts, resolutions, all altered this specific new year,” he added. Initially motivated by the tragedy that befell my entire family, it soon became unified, actionable love. I want to express my gratitude to EVERYONE for their kind words and consideration for my family and I. I adore and appreciate you all very much. These more than 30 broken bones will heal and become stronger, just as the affection and connection with family and friends grows stronger. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
On January 7, the Hollywood actor marked his 52nd birthday while resting in a hospital bed. We are overjoyed to see him surpassing his goals and wish him a speedy recovery.
Join us in sending prayers and compassion to those who need them. I, for one, find Jeremy to be an inspiration and wish him luck in getting back to his regular routine as soon as possible.
