Imagine this - a heavily expectant feline mama ends up at Animal Control. Before you could say 'kitten kaboodle', she pops out six tiny furballs in her kennel! Before these mini moggies could get their meow on, they're whisked off by a local rescue - Be Their Voice Animal Rescue, to be precise.

Here's Aimee from the rescue, "We took them in and got them all settled into their foster home. With purrs and kneads, Lucy – that's mama cat, showed us she must've once had a loving home, despite looking like she'd been living rough."

Lucy, the feline heroine of our tale, seemed as pleased as punch with her cosy nook for bringing up her brood. Stepping out of her carrier, she purred, a melody that's been her perpetual soundtrack since.

Despite having a gaggle of kittens (we're talking Pigpen, Linus, Charlie, Patty, Woodstock, and Snoopy here), Lucy initially had trouble filling her own plate. Thanks to a dose of tender care and gourmet chow, her appetite made a comeback. The resulting picture? A sleepy huddle of kittens, nursing their fill and snoozing on mama's warm belly.

The more Lucy dug into her food, the fuller her milk bar got. She had no qualms showing Aimee her affection, almost as if she knew the human was part of the team helping her brood grow strong. When she needed respite from her parenting duties, she'd hop onto Aimee's lap, stretching out for a well-deserved petting session.

Fast forward a bit, and Be Their Voice receives a call about a solitary kitty found abandoned at a park. The little guy was just days old and had been left with a half-empty bottle. This called for some serious nurturing and mothering.

Without skipping a beat, they introduced this wee orphan to Lucy, who sprinted to the newcomer and began mothering him as if he were her own. "Lucy welcomed this little nugget into her fold like a champ. We owe her one for giving this lost soul a home," Aimee shared on Love Meow.

The newcomer, christened Rerun (in honor of the youngest Peanuts character), was nestled among his new siblings while Lucy laid down for him to nurse. The scene that followed? Rerun, full of vim and vigor, kneading away at Lucy's belly, then snuggling with his new kin in a fuzzy, heart-melting cuddle-puddle.

Rerun, being the youngest, had trouble competing for his share of mama's milk. Aimee stepped in to bottle-feed him and he latched on like a pro. "He's been bottle-fed before, so I wonder what his story is. Seems like Lucy and I will be teaming up to co-parent this little one," Aimee mused.

Despite his petite size, Rerun's purr-box is always in overdrive, especially post-feedings. He's around a week to ten days old, his peepers are on the verge of unveiling the world to him.

With an army of caretakers, including a doting cat mom, Rerun's future looks bright. He's growing like a weed and enjoys the company of his big feline family. He's got not one, but two loving moms to watch him flourish.
