Little boy tells cop he’s selling lemonade to buy new shoes. Hours later cop returns

On September 3, 2022, a police officer in Connecticut changed the life of a young kid through a wonderful deed that quickly gained popularity on social media.

Wendelyn Narvaez said on Facebook that her kindergarten-aged grandson opened a lemonade stand. He provided a drink to relieve their thirst as well as cookies and brownies.

The young youngster was selling his cool beverage when a policeman came up. According to a post on the Ansonia Police Department’s Facebook page, that is Officer Joel Perez, a former military police officer who was most recently employed by the agency in March.

When the police asked the boy what he planned to do with the money he would get from the sales, they were conversing casually.

Landen the child said that he was setting money aside to get brand-new blue sneakers for school.

Officer Perez enquired about the boy’s size before departing.

Landen continued to offer lemonade after some time had passed. Then he recognised a familiar face.

It turned out that the officer had brought the youngster a fresh set of blue sneakers when he came back.

Narvaez posted a picture of that occasion to her Facebook page and stated, “Landen was surprised and couldn’t believe it.”

I feel privileged to work for such a wonderful community. Giving back is not only a blessing, but it also serves as a daily reminder of my origins. I hope you enjoy your new sneakers, Landen, and never lose sight of what a fantastic youngster you are. May God continue to protect you and your family and to bless you! Officer Perez shared their widely shared photo.

After Perez’s act of generosity gained widespread attention on social media, Ansonia Police Chief Wayne Williams responded by email, saying, “These are the types of cops that we are all wanting to hire.” On September 3, 2022, a police officer in Connecticut changed the life of a young kid through a wonderful deed that quickly gained popularity on social media.
